Hello Everyone, I am helping a neighbor with research on her husband's lines. I am interested in info on this family Foster SAYRES/SAYERS who shows up in Gloucester Co. census records in 1840. In 1830 he was in Salem Co. He was married to Margaret, I do not know her maiden name. Margaret was born abt. 1803 in NJ . By 1850, Foster is dead and Margaret is living with her daughter Lydia. Lydia SAYRES was born abt. Sept 1830 and by 1850 was married to William ZANE and had two boys-Foster b. abt 1848 and George 1849. In 1862 Lydia had a son Oliver Woodeth ZANE. Any information on the SAYRES/SAYERS family is appreciated. One source I have says Foster was born in NJ, another says Germany! Thank you. Kathy Karn
