Malcolm, Sometimes we can get clues to other family members from the children's names. What were the names of the 2 children? Frank and Augusta(Eichele) Scudder married abt. 1879/80. the first child was named Anna,b.abt 1881, then Lillian,b.1883 (my Grandmother), then William Corson Scudder,b.1885 in Fairton. I believe Frank was a carpenter when living in Camden later on. Possibly there is a connection here since I don't seem to find too many Scudders from are areas of search. I know there also use to be Scudders in the lumber or construction business in Atlantic City in the late 1880s and then they also moved their business to Camden when it was the place to live.
