Earl, I'm trying to find my ggrandfather, William French Lacy, called French Lacy, b. abt.1855-60, M. Sarah Mood abt. 1880. They lived in Camden, NJ for many years. He was an engineer for the PRR(Penna-Reading Railroad). Sarah's family was from Elk and Pole Tavern, south of Mullica Hill, NJ. There were Lacy's in Woodstown area and Alloway Creek, and Upper Pittsgrove. It appears that they might have been related many years ago but during the 1800s it seems they had similar forenames but not linked. I'm not certain where my Wm. Lacy was born or names of his parents, Possibly John Lacy. I have names of all William and Sarah's descendant's, as I am one of them. Do you have other Lacy names? Let me know, we might have a connection. Joan Lacy Fitzsimmons in NJ PS. My Lacy ancestors always said that their Lacy ancestors were Scotch-Irish (Scots displaced to County Ulster in NO. Ireland by Cromwell? Sorry, I don't have the facts at my fingertips right now!)
