    1. [NJGLOUCE-L] Re: MOOD/STUTZ; DEU>USA;c.1850
    2. Marge; Thanks for the reply. It's poss. that the Stutz name was really Stotz. I just recently found out Christina's maiden name. I'm desperately trying to get all the names of Christina and Chas. Mood's children because I believe my ggrandmother was one of them, Sarah Mood (I think there were 7 siblings in all)..Christina was orphaned in Wurttemberg, Germany at age 2 and her aunt and uncle brought her to the US at age 16, c. 1850. via NY. They lived in Phila. and then Christina moved to Vineland after marrying Chas. and had some of her children there. It's poss. that her family moved to that area to be closer to her and the family. Let me know what you find out. I'm not from that area. I live at the shore, but most of my more recent ancestors either lived/farmed/worked in So. NJ towns for many years. Some areas were Clayton, Neufield, Elmer, Fairton, Elk,Pole Tavern, and then Camden (back when it was nice) and Pennsauken(where I grew up). My family names are LACY/MOOD/SCUDDER/STEVENS on my fathers side, and BROOKS/ HOSE/ LADD/ CRANE on my mothers side. I guess you must live in that area with all that pretty farmland. I drove all around those areas several weeks ago. Thanks, Joan
