Mary, I'm trying to research back with my ggrandfather, Francis (Frank) Asbury Scudder, b.abt. 1851 and having lived in the Fairton, NJ area for some years (Cumberland Co...). It is interesting to note that Frank's forename and middle name is that of a well known Methodist-Episc.Bishop who brought Methodism to the Bridgeton, NJ area in the late 1700s. I am assuming his parents were involved with the church or knew Bishop Asbury for them to name a son after him. Perhaps your Dunn minister and Sarah Dunn Scudder were part of this family.
