Hello out there! It's been a while since I posted our surname interests in Philadelphia and Gloucester Co., NJ, so here they are again: We're looking for any KAYEs in the Philly and/or Woodbury and Gloucester City, NJ, area--past and present. My husband's great-grandparents (William Henry and Fanny [EDMONDSON] KAYE) lived in Philadelphia, then Deptford Twp., NJ, and later Woodbury. William Henry was born in Philly in 1854; Fannie in Yorkshire, England, in 1859. They married in 1876 in Yorkshire, came to the US and had 8 children: Harry Edmondson (born 1877); John (1878); Elizabeth Worthington (1879); Richard (1880); William (1882); *Edward (1883); Alfred (1886); and Sarah Gertrude (1894). All were born in Philly except for Alfred (Deptford Twp.) and Sarah (Woodbury). *Edward KAYE married Elizabeth EDWARDS from Camden in 1908; they also had 8 children: Mary Etta (1908); Edward Jr. (1913?); Thomas (1918); twins Richard and John (1920); **Frank (1922); and two born after 1922 whose names we do not know. All were apparently born in Woodbury. **Frank KAYE married Evelyn PETERSON of Chicago about 1950-51; they had 5 children, the eldest of whom is my husband Frank Ryan KAYE. We've been married 27 years and have 2 sons.
