    3. I highly recommend the Social Security Death Index on Rootsweb. It is up through June 1999 right now. It has the click on to print out a letter to send for a copy for the individual's Social Security Application Card. It also has a new feature that I really like. You can click on Add Post-em. This way you can leave a message that others can see when they do a search. You can put a password so you can go in and edit or delete later. After posting your input you, go back to the Social Security Death Index Page, you must then click back out of it at least one page to be able to go back and see the same page again. Then you will see that it shows your posting. A wonderful feature especially since most people do check the SSDI sooner or later. I feel this SSDI search is the best. Go to <Http://ww.rootsweb.com/> and then click on Social Security Death Index. There is also a Surname List on the main page. Features like this are what make people come to Rootsweb by choice, but these wonderful choices are only there because people join Rootsweb. If you haven't joined, please take a few minutes to join. Who knows what they will be able to offer next. I am a member of Rootsweb. You can join for a minimum of $12.00 a year right now. Try Rootsweb and then decide whether it is worth $12.00 a year or not for you to be able to do research on-line. Carol Holt Middle Tennessee
