Ji everyone - I have a question to pose to the list. I've contacted someone who might know, and have not yet received a reply. It has been brought to my attention that I may be in violation of copyright laws by posting this information on the web. Here's the whole situation: 1. I did state the source of the information, as well as the compiler/author. 2. It is a reprint, put out by the Gloucester County Historical Society. 3. The information is all a matter of public record. 4. There is no copyright in existence anywhere in either this book, or the Cumb. Co. Gen. Data book I have. Now my question, am I in fact in violation of copyright laws? I do not want to get in trouble for doing this. I welcome all answers and suggestions, either on list or private, I'd like to get to the bottom of it so I can continue, but am leary to do so without knowing if I may. I had thought of simply posting the surnames available and then do look-ups, but, then I thought about the possible nightmare I would create for myself!
