    3. Dear List, >From the description below, is anyone able to tell me anything about the gun being described, it's age or approximate date of manufacture? I can't answer any questions about it, since the whereabouts of the gun is unknown. The description was provided by a cousin based on what he remembers about it. We were told that it belonged to the family of my grandfather, Owen C. Daisey. His father was a Daisey from Ocean View, DE, and his mother was a Tonkin, whose family lived in southern NJ and the Philadelphia area. "J. W. Parkhurst {manufacturer}, it had double hammers on the outside of breech, damascus barrels and used black powder. I don't remember seeing a name carved in it. It was a beautiful shotgun, real fancy engraving in the metal and stock." Thanks for any help you might be able to provide. Janet T.
