I thought it was not possible for a virus to ride on a list message, but apparently it is happening right now. I've had 5 come thru this morning on various list addresses, which Norton caught (none of which I am subscribed to) (no attachment to give a flag, either). It is the Klez virus/worm. So be careful - make sure your anti-virus software is up to date!!!!! Sorry - I know this is off topic but there does seem to be a deluge of these coming out right now so I thought folks should be especially wary.
