    1. [NJGLOUCE] Clayton Hign School year book for 1941
    2. BLUESCLUES
    3. I have the Clayton Hign School year book for 1941. Like any yearbook it has Freshman (grade 9) through Senior (grade 12), as well as, lists of students who belond to sports teams, drama club, etc. There is also a faculty list. If anyone thinks they may have someone in this yearbook I would be happy to check and see. If the person you're looking for is in the year book then I can also scan and send you the picture or pictures. If the person is a senoir I can scan and send their photo along with the entry written about the senior. My mother was a senior and she has noted by almost every picture what branch of the military the student entered. kymsch@yahoo.com Kym www.atouchofireland.shopiwon.com --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? 1. [NJGLOUCE] Quakers of Salem Quarter
    2. This from the njgf@yahoogroups.com, thank you Val ___________________________________ Hi all, I've been looking in a book, Salem Quarter, for my own purposes, but came across this list of Quaker names dated 1774, and felt it might be useful to many. Also, if I type these and enter into a word file, I can quickly do a "find in file" for later reference. Salem Quarter, "The Quakers of Salem Quarterly Meeting of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends in Southern New Jersey 1675-1990" Salem Quarterly Meeting History Committee, Associated Printers, Inc., Pennsville, NJ 1991 p222-224 "The Meeting has in its archives the original petition to William Franklin, Esq., the last Provincial Governor of New Jersey. The petition against the evils of slavery was first read at Burlington and is dated Feb. 8, 1774." "This Petition was signed by 78 members of Salem Meeting. At that time the Salem Monthly Meeting embraced all Quakers within the County plus those in Gloucester County in the Harrisonville and Mullica Hill areas and a few in Cumberland County at Greenwich and Port Elizabeth." "Some of the signatures are difficult to decipher. For easy reference, this list is given in the same order as they were affixed to the face and reverse side of the Petition." Thanks, everybody, for sharing all the Ancestry experiences, information, links, things to look for, and other places to look, signing up process, etc. Looking for PRALL and PETTY (11 spellings possible) in West Jersey, and North Jersey Counties *before* 1850. And anything which sounds like MATTHIAS, Dutch or English spelling. There's even a link in there to applegate before 1750, but first I have to document the predeeding folks. Ruth in GA

    3. Before I subscribe to Ancestry, I would like to know of other NJ researchers experience with early 19th century and *before* information available on Ancestry. >From 1700 to 1850. My explorations during free visits were frustrating, to say the least. My impression is that they don't cover all the counties. Am I correct? Would I be better off sticking with LDS? And finding the reference books mentioned on the message boards? Like everyone, I want to point my time and money in the right directions. I welcome hearing about your experiences. Ruth in GA
