Can anyone tell me whether wrtitten records still exist for Cumberland and/or Gloucester counties during the 1700 to 1750 time frame? If so, where do I find them? I'm particularly interested in any records that might show births or list children -- wills, birth/baptismal records, etc. Quaker records are also of particular interest. Thanks ahead of time to anyone who can help! Judy Kimsey

Diane, Thanks for trying to find my Christiana Stultz/Stulz/Stolz Roedel. I spoke with Adam Roedel recently, and it would have been his ggrandmother, b abt.1830. She would have married her Roedel abt.1855-1860. His father was Gustav, grandfather was Frederick, and ggrandfather also Frederick. He doesn't know his ggrandmother's name. Another dead end. Christiana was an older sister to my ggrandmother, Christina Stulz/Stolz Mood. Anyone out there have a possible link or lead on the elusive Christiana S. Roedel? Thanks, Joan in NJ
Sarah French Clark married Eli Allen in about 1873. I have information about the Allens, but not much on her. She was born Sarah French. The information I have is that her father died and her mother married a Clark. The French family had some connection to a General French of the Revolutionary War. Both the Allen and French/Clark families lived in the Woodbury - Gibbstown area. I would appreciate information on her family. Sara Allen Nampa, Idaho

Listers: in searching for information on Rebecca STERN, I found this marriage in Carig's Burlington Count (NJ) Marriages. CHARLES KAIGHN married SARAH STERN 11-24-1814...source was Burlington County Clerk's Records 1795-1840. Does anyone have these names in his/her family tree? Maybe Rebecca and Sarah were sisters. REBECCA STERN married circa 1814, too....married Thomas Bullock. Thanks for any help anyone can give on STERN family. [email protected]

Hi Folks, The Today Show on NBC is doing a weeklong story on genealogy. The MSNBC Internet site provides links to genealogical web sites. Some are well known, others were new to me. http://www.msnbc.com/modules/genealogy/default.asp John Cresseveur
I have almost all the data I need on the CHEW line, since it is not a major line, even though, in a distant way, it has ties of relation, and of memory... But! What I am trying to figure is, Who is my Aunt Nellie? She had a fascination for the AYRES family, and I suspect, may have been the wife of Wayne Egbert AYRES. But I also suspect she may have been a CHEW. Eleanor CHEW. Now, I know about THE book. LDS has Eleanor CHEW as the daughter of Clayton CHEW and Eleanor Bell MUCHMORE (what a name!) ... of Morristown. I guess that is right, but since Clayton was born in Salem, New Jersey, it is my guess that the submitter meant Moorestown, New Jersey. I think it is geographically closer, and my Wayne Egbert AYRES' brother Edward lived in Moorestown. Plus, My Aunt Nellie did also... Does anyone know anything about Eleanor CHEW? And if so, (she was b. Dec. 1897, and had a sister Elizabeth) did she marry Wayne Egbert AYRES? Thanks, Vince
