    1. [NJGLOUCE] SAYERS/SAYRES/ZANE
    2. Hello Everyone, I am helping a neighbor with research on her husband's lines. I am interested in info on this family Foster SAYRES/SAYERS who shows up in Gloucester Co. census records in 1840. In 1830 he was in Salem Co. He was married to Margaret, I do not know her maiden name. Margaret was born abt. 1803 in NJ . By 1850, Foster is dead and Margaret is living with her daughter Lydia. Lydia SAYRES was born abt. Sept 1830 and by 1850 was married to William ZANE and had two boys-Foster b. abt 1848 and George 1849. In 1862 Lydia had a son Oliver Woodeth ZANE. Any information on the SAYRES/SAYERS family is appreciated. One source I have says Foster was born in NJ, another says Germany! Thank you. Kathy Karn

    3. Hi All, When looking through the Mar/Apr 1999 edition of Family Chronicle magazine I saw this website that you may find interesting. It was the Editor's Pick and I found it to be a great site myself. It's called Cemetery Junction. http://www.daddezio.com/cemetery It currently has "more than 11,000 listings which are broken down by state and then listed alphabetically by the name of the cemetery. Cemeteries are also identified by their county and zip code." Other stuff: tombstone articles, obituaries, wills, family research, local societies, related sites, etc.

    3. If you go to the Gloucester County page of NJGenWeb http://www.rootsweb.com/~njglouce/ you will find a listing of cemeteries which includes Lake Park. They don't have a street address, I guess it is because they are so big that the Swedesboro P.O. just knows where to take the mail. >Would anyone have the address and phone number of the Lake Park Cemetery in >Swedesboro? Is it a large one with an office that might have records on the >site? Any info about this would be welcome? Have headstones been transcribed? >[email protected] Hudson, OH

    1. [NJGLOUCE-L] Mary Blackman
    2. Mary Grabanski
    3. If Samuel Dunn can't be found, maybe Mary Blackman? I have her cemetery records. It states she was born in New Jersey, January 11, 1822. She died in Wichita, Kansas, April 6, 1916, and is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery. She was married to Samuel L. Dunn who was born in Ohio. Is there a record of a Reverend John Collins born about 1769-1770? He was a Methodist minister. He married Sarah Blackman. I haven't found if she was related to Mary Blackman or not. Thanks. 1. [NJGLOUCE-L] To Listowner
    2. Mary Grabanski
    3. Sorry to post this to the list, but I don't have the listowner's address. I have posted to several lists lately at Rootsweb only to find I'm "not a subscriber." I have been receiving e-mail from the lists just fine. Christi Calvert Brogan, Dunn listowner, solved my dilemma. Here is what she wrote: "...what I suspect has happened in your case is this. The mail you sent me came from this address: [email protected] and I have two addresses now subscribed "to" the list, one identical to that one and then this one as well: [email protected] which just means that your provider has changed their mail setup and didn't let you know. I can remove the "other" address ([email protected]) and you should be all set. If I leave it on however, you will get duplicates of all the emails to the list. You may want to think about any other lists you are on and have them check for the second address as well so that you don't get duplicates." Could you please check to see if this has happened on your list? Polar did NOT notify me of the change, but they have been overhauling their system. Sorry for the inconvenience. Mary Grabanski

    1. [NJGLOUCE-L] Dunns in Gloucester County
    2. Mary Grabanski
    3. I have found internet family trees linking my line of Dunns to Piscataway, Middlesex County, NJ. However, personal family info says my Dunns came from Gloucester County, and were there "early". They migrated to Ohio in the early 1800's. The last Dunn I have who was born in New Jersey (no city or county given) was Samuel Dunn, born December 10, 1768, and died in Hamilton County, OH, April 18, 1817. He married Elizabeth Pryor Willis. Can someone look up a birth or marriage record for Samuel? Is there anything like a census I can check to find Dunns in the Gloucester area at that time? Thanks. Mary Grabanski
