Could someone tell me in which city the "Courier Post" was published in the early 1960s? Carol
Vince, I did a white pages search for Woodbury,NJ and found 7 Fitzgeralds living there, though none for Emerson Street. That, of course, means nothing because the house could have been torn down years ago or the family moved on. There is one David Fitzgerald living on Ford St.---perhaps a descendent of the 1900 Census David, age 2. Try the Glou.Co. Historic Society Library listed in NJ Rootsweb sit. They have a treasure trove of data for much of southern NJ. Joan in NJ
Here is some data, new to me just minutes ago! Can anyone find this address, and data or new data? Woodbury, Gloucester county, NJ census (122 Emerson Street) Name Age Wilson Fitzgerald 39 Amanda 39 Fannie 18 Wilson 15 Elwood 13 John 10 Amanda 7 Archibald 5 David 2 All were born in NJ except the mother who was born in MD. Thanks, Vince
Hi Eileen, Came across your Stiles requests and wondered if you were aware of the Stiles Family Association? They have "tons" of Stiles data, and would be happy to provide info. Hi all, I am one of your silent members. I would appreciate guidance in finding 2 old obituaries or death notices from Camden. The first is for 14 December 1897 Frank Seif(f)ert(h) and the second for February 1905 Hattie Seif(f)ert(h). Both were buried at Greenmont Cemetery in Philadelphia but were most likely living in the Camden area at the time of their deaths. As I am out of state, I need to know records I can access accordingly. Thank you for any guidance on this. This is my first venture 'across the river' for my research. Georgeanne In Georgia
Linda, There is a Chew's Episc. Church about a mile down the road from Chew's Meth. Church and Cemetery in Glendora. I don't live nearby but a kind volunteer looked in both places for me last year and helped find a few ancestors buried at the Meth. church cemetery. Try information for a phone number. Joan in NJ
Chews Landing was and is in Gloucester County. Don't know about the church. There is a Chews Methodist Church in nearby Glendora. Can anyone tell me where microfilm for old Gloucester newspapers would be kept. I am trying to find the story of my greataunt Rose Berckman, who was murdered about 1915. She owned a hotel in Gloucester and a man murdered her in her hotel by cutting her throat. I have two cousins living who remember the story but, are fuzzy on the date. One cousin was a little boy when it happened and he can remember the ruckus it caused. The other cousin is the last living child of a slightly younger great aunt and she remembers her mother talking about it. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, in advance, for your help. Kath Wintersburg, Arizona [email protected]
Hi from CA. Does Chew's Landing Episcopal Church still exist? Is/was it in Gloucester Co.? My ancestors were in Salem and Gloucester Counties. Thanks for your help, Linda McDowell [email protected]

I"m just fishing here; Mary GRAY 1797-1871, resided in Salem county 1820-1850s, married Thomas COUNSELLOR Jr, but had son by previous marriage/encounter named Philander. Philander named one of his sons, Joshua Lacey GRAY. Philander's mother was Priscilla BASSETT. Realizing middle names are sometimes mother's maiden name, would any of you LACEY researchers have any info on a possible Mary LACEY marrying a GRAY ? Thanks, Chuck Counceller Connersville, IN

George Henry STILES owned a boat yard in Mantu Hts, NJ. It was on the creek until the flood 194?, then was moved up the hill to Linden Ave. I'd be interested in any stories or relationships concerning the business. He used to put plaques on the boats he built to identify his workmanship. Would like to find one of those plaques.
