I have registered there for their email list, how is that different than this one? I also joined in the forum, do you have a weekly discussion? I didn't see much activity. My ancestors (mother, grandparents, etc) were born and grew up there. My origons started in Sasbach, Baden, Germany, and surounding towns. I know more about those ancestors than I do my American ancestors. I enjoyed going through all the old photo's and reading all the memories. I was not born there, and can only remember some of those places from my childhood. I know that we took the train to Newark, and shopped at Bamberger's, and always ate at the Woolworth's, I can't remember what you would call it, I want to say soda fountain. My ancestors are buried in Woodland and some are buried in St. Mary's Cemetery. My parents always used the term "down neck" when they were reminiscing I always wondered what that meant.. Linda
