I am trying to resolve a mystery in my McElvery genealogy, and I am hoping someone can do an obituary look up or give me advise. There are two Edwin McElvery's in New Jersey who I believe are the same guy, and I was hoping some one could find his or his wife's obituary (Alice McElvery or Carrie McElvery), which would let me know or help me determine if these two Edwin McElvery's are the same guy. As it stands in my research "my" Edwin evidence disappears around 1903, with the exception of 1946 address in East Orange. The "other" Edwin I found in Kearny, New Jersey in 1910 and the last bit of documentation I have on him is in 1933 when he sold his property in Kearny. There is also some sketchy information about the "other" Edwin divorced his first wife and remarried Alice Boyd in 1909, and subsequently lost the McElvery family tie due to religious issues. The only lead I can go with right now is "my" Edwin's known address in July 1946 was at 31 Washington Street in East Orange. Since he was 74 years in 1946 he may have not lived later than the early 1950's. Any help or advise about finding Edwin McElvery¹s or his wife¹s obituary will be appreciated. Rich McElvery Hollis, NH
