Hi Nancy, I don't look up death records, (wish I could), but we may have a connection. This is what I have: Wm H. Flemming, no dates, resided: 745 S. 18th St, Newark in 1916. He married Ida Jennie Freitag. Ida's dates: 1865-1931, they had a dau: Emma Albertina Freitag Lezgus, (there were other children.) I think because of Ida's dates, Wm's dates should be in the ball park of your Thomas. I don't have parents for Wm. I am looking for the death record of Thomas Petty Fleming/Flemming. Thomas was born on April 15, 1864. He died about 1945 in Newark and is buried at the Clinton/Evergreen Cemetery in Irvington.
