Hi I am searching for info on a Jane PURDUE Coyne, first wife of James Coyne. They were married in 1850 by a Rev James Williams, she died in 1853 aboard a ship (name unknown) and was scalded to death with others (according to an affidavit written by 2 brothers of James' second wife Martha SNOW Coyne) and buried at sea. One of the brothers stated that there was no death cert to be had because of the way she died and was buried at sea. Does anyone know if that is true? Wouldn't there still be a death cert or a notice of some sort? Thanks Patti
