I'm sorry I don't have a good answer for this, but my Dad, who grew up in Newark, was a patient in a TB facility in Glen Gardner(Hunterdon County), NJ in the late 1920's or early 1930's. I have a pix of him there in a group of about 25 men. Hope this helps! Joan Brown DeChellis
I am pretty sure there was a TB hospital in Union Co. and/or Essex Co. also. Both Cedar Grove (Essex County Hospital) and Belleville (Soho Hospital) were major hospitals for TB patients.
