    1. First Methodist Church
    2. I have had this commemorative church plate in my possession for years. The church is located on the corner of Park Ave and Day Street in Orange, NJ. I am posting this on the chance someone may need the info that is on the back. It reads as follows: "The picture on this plate represents the third Church building, the present church edifice, of the Methodist Church in Orange, N.J. The corner stone was laid on October 1, 1904 and dedicatory services held on November 12, 1905. The Methodist Church in Orange, N. J. was organized in 1829 and incorporated in 1830. The congregation met in Masonic Hall, Main Street, Orange, N.J. until 1832 when the first church building, a modest structure 40 X 50, was erected in Main Street Orange, next to the Masonic Hall. After 28 years from the date of the incorporation the second church structure as completed in 1858, the first church structure being moved to the rear of the lot to be used as a Chapel." Dot
