I am trying to locate a death record for Casimir (Kasimiers) Ostrowsky (Ostroski, Ostrowski, Ostrosky), who lived in Essex County, after his immigration from Poland in the early 1900's. The city directories show Casimir residing in Newark until 1932, when he "removed to Passaic." I am unsure whether this means back to Passaic Avenue in Newark, or to Passaic County. After 1932 there is no record of Casimir in the city directories for either county. In 1950, Casimir's wife is shown as a widow in the city directory. I have a copy of a memorial placque dated October 1946 in Casimir's memory. I have had a search made for death records for Casimir from 1940 - 1948 without success. He was a member of St. Casimir's church in Newark, where his children were born. He is not buried with his wife, or a son, who died in 1947. Casimir was estranged from his family, but I really don't think he was very far away. He was not naturalized. His occupation was that of a laborer. I believe he died in Essex County or Passaic, but am running out of ideas as to how to find a death date or burial place. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Patrice Houck Schadt
