Seeking family of Chas. HOLE/HOEL/HOWELL? b c 1700 -where? d 1749 NJ m Sarah SMITH who is prob the dau. of Henry SMITH who died in Elizabeth Town, Essex Co., NJ 1759 and names her (Sarah HOLE) in his will. Chas. HOLE was in Southold, LI, Suffolk Co., NY in 1727 where he was named executor of a will. By 1732 he was witnessing many wills in Elizabeth, NJ. It would seem Chas. migrated to NJ with the BADGLEY family. Some of The Passaic Valley info on Chas. is incorrect - shows his children, but his will does not have the same names. Was Chas. in fact part of the LI HOWELL? Howell is sometimes also spelled HOLE and HOEL. Does anyone have info on this Charles and his family?
