Hi, I have just been told my a NY library that John Joseph CRAVEN married Catharine R. TICHENER and that she was born (unknown date) in Newark, NJ. Yet, some of the census for her under her married name list her as born in NY! Since the family wound up in Suffolk, I will presume that is where she was born, if it was NY... I am writing to both Essex County in NJ and Suffolk County in NY. Do you see anyone surnamed TICHENER for either 1820 or 1830? Catharine's husband, you see, was born 1822. Thanks! Vince Summers
