There is a John or Joannis Doerfler, I find no record of him until his marriage to Rosa Wunderlich in 1872, at St. Marys Church, Newark. NJ. His parents were John (Joannis) and Cunigunde (possibly with a K) and he had a sister Barbara. Like many with ansestors from Germany I can't find his place of birth.This information would be so helpful if found, as you know.
