Two MOREHOUSE mysteries, probably both in 1789, which I could use help with. 1. Sarah MOREHOUSE was Aaron Tompkins third wife. They are both noted in her father Stephen's 1807 will. But I still can't determine where they were married, i.e. what church, or when. It was probably in 1789, a year before the birth of their first son, Isaac. I've looked at a variety of churches, Hanover etc, but have come up empty. 2. John MOREHOUSE. I think that John MOREHOUSE married Aaron TOMPKINS daughter Elizabeth by his first wife, Hannah Canfield, also in 1789. There was a marriage between a Betsy TOMPKINS and John MOREHOUSE at Hanover Presbyterian church. But how can I check if these two are really mine? Thanks to everyone on this lively list.
