initial period discounted subscriptions are no new thing, nor are they usually ever extended to current subscribers. They are a marketing ploy to regain lost customers or to entice new ones to join. I am sure that this is a special rate that would not apply to the customers upon subsequent renewal, unless you cancelled and re-signed to whatever the then current offer was. This is exactly what the cell phone services do now. your contract is your contract and you never get the advantages that a new signee might enjoy. It may be crappy but thats the way business works, no amount of writing to the "powers that be" will change it. Once you have signed and paid, you are a liability not an asset. wade lewis wlewis3@earthlink.net EarthLink Revolves Around You.
