Hello folks, I missed the "L" section. Anyone researching LYON? I have Marietta (also Martha) LYON 25 Jan 1815 - 15 Dec 1900 who m. 9 May 1830 to William Harvey JOHNSON 9 Jul 1805 - 31 Oct 1902. She was his second wife. Marietta's parents are Lewis Lyon and Abigail Fordyce (the death certificate only had Lewis Lyon and Miss Fordyce). I also have this, a copy of which I would love to obtain: From "History of Union County New Jersey 1664 - 1923" by A. Van Doren Honeyman, P. 329, "William H. Johnson was born in Maplewood, New Jersey, July 9 1805, and died in Union, New Jersey, in 1902. He was a shoemaker and farmer all his life. He was a chorister for many years in the Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church. He married, May 9, 1830, for his second wife, Marietta LYON. She died in 1900, aged eighty-six years, and had been the mother of thirteen children, ten of whom survived her. Through the mother of Marietta (Lyon) Johnson, she was descended from Anneke Jans, wife of Dominie Bogardus, of New Amsterdam."
