I have three Joseph Piersons in my very incomplete database on Piersons. 1. Joseph Pierson, b 1733, son of Henry 1690-1750 and Jemima Ogden, both of Elizabeth. 2.Joseph Pierson 1693-1759 and Hepziabah Camp 1696-1769, both of Orange. Joseph is the son of Samuel Pierson and Mary Harrison. Samuel was a brother to #1, Joseph, son of Henry and Jemima. 3. Joseph Pierson, son of #2 above. I have no birth date, but I have a few of the siblings, born frin 1717 into the early 1730s. This Pierson line is from Henry, born Olney, Buckinghamshire, and died in Southampton, Long Island. 1615-1680. He was a cousin of Abraham Pierson, one of the Newark founders. Most Piersons in Essex descend from Henry. I can give more detail if Joseph hooks up with your people. I have lots of John Mills in my records. Do you know more about the John Mills Jr. that you give? Who were the parents of the Betsy (???) Mills-Waer that you give? I have a Samuel Mills (d 1813) [s/o William Mills I (1722-1795) and Amy ???] who married a Ruth Pierson but I have no dates or other information concerning her. I also have a Mary E. PIERSON (1812 Westfield, NJ-1900 Butler Co., OH), dau/o Squire PIERSON & Nancy DECAMP, who had a son, John C. Ross (abt. 1840 OH-1929 IN) who married aft. Mar. 1864 to Margaret E. Hancock, dau/o Joel Hancock & Sarah Hall. They are of my husband's line. Also, Mary Emma PIERSON b ??? Morris Co., NJ; married George Augustus Mills (b 1856 Morris Co., NJ), s/o Nehemiah Mahlon MILLS b 1829 NYC, NY & Susan SLACK...decendant of Timothy Mills of Morris Co., NJ. Then, Rebecca PIERSON b abt. 1783; m 1811 Westfield, NJ to Abraham JONES, and had daughter, Elizabeth "Betsy" JONES who married 1835 Butler Co., OH to Benjamin Enyart MISNER. Again, this family is connected to my husband's lines. The MISNERs and ENYARTs also come out of NJ.
