Joyce, You could have the NJArchives do a search for the marriage record. If the first child was born in October of 1870 a good guess would be that they were married in the 1868-1870 time frame. Marriage records are available for that time frame. If you are able it would be worth a trip to the Archives yourself. You might also find the birth records for the children. You could also check the death records after 1921 for Michael and Johanna.
