Karen, I don't know if you have tried any variations on the surname Huck, but there are about twenty different ones, including my line of Howk or Houk. It is also spelled Houck, Hauck, etc., and sometimes the four-letter name is misread as Hawk (as I discovered on a couple of Census reports).
