Lucy, Thank you very much for your note regarding the Roberts. With the multiple Aarons and Isaacs in my Tompkins line I should have known that there would, of course, be multiple Hugh Roberts. I had noted in the Old Newark burying ground records an Abigail Roberts and her son who died in 1738. The Hugh Roberts who died in 1738 was also there. I just assumed, incorrectly I see, that this was Hugh's wife. I gather we don't know Hugh Roberts II's wife Martha's last name? Any suggestions on how I can trace the children of Rebecca Roberts and John Tompkins? I would very much like to tie down my Aaron Tompkins parentage.
