She must have died fairly quickly because he married Mary MILLER(dau of Wm MILLER of Westfield) on 6 May 1776. Samuel moved to North Carolina (there in 1789) and then to Virginia (there in 1800) finally ending up in Jefferson Co., Kentucky where he died in 1822. His wife Mary is buried there. I dont know where Isaac went. Any help with this family any connections would be greatly appreciated. Pam Kirkland
These are the the same families. Samuel Mills moved from New Jersey to Nc then to Va then to Jefferson Co., Kentucky. My line is proven genetically to this line in New Jersey. The Ogden name coming from the will and family data that has come into our posession. Our Mary Miller Mills birth date matches the info in Westfields church records. I am hoping to find more information on Samuel's siblings Isaac, Mary, Sarah and Susannah to help with more proof on the family. I am somewhat new in searching the New Jersey area and would love to search wills and deeds for Elizabethtown but they are a little elusive. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Pam Kirkland I believe Phebe was a sister and John Lee was a bro in law but not sure about abraham. ---- Audrey Hancock <AudreyHancock1939@sbcglobal.net> wrote: > Is this the same Richard MILLS you are naming? > What reference do you have for naming Richard's wife as Sarah Ogden? > Is it because daughter Mary received a cow from her grandmother, Mary Ogden? > Note: brother James Mills is named? > > > NJ Archives, Series 1, Vol. 32, Abstracts of Wills 3 - 1751-1760 > 19 Nov 1756 > Richard Mills of the Borough of Elizabeth, Essex Co., yeoman; will of.
