    3. My great grandfather was Peter Francis Logan. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1861 and came over with his family when he was 6. Sometime in the 1920's or 30's ( he died in 1940) ,there was a human interest article in the Newark papers- which one I don't know, about my great grandfather and the wood carvings he made. They were carved out of wood from disasters, like train wrecks. The article had a photo of him. I saw this in my father's possession when I was a kid- a few years ago It has vanished. I very much want a copy of this. I live in Texas and won't be going to NJ any time soon. I am more than willing to pay for someone to go to the newspaper archives and see if the article is there, but need the name of a researcher who can do this. Anybody out there use someone they can recommend for the job? My younger brother has all the carvings, mostly chains and balls in boxes. Each is labeled with the disaster it came from. The article quotes him as saying that his dream was to get a piece of wood from the Titanic to carve. And if anyone knows the Logan family, I would love to hear from you. Maryann
