Looking for any information on the RUDDEN family who came to the US from Ireland circa 1838. The 1850 City of Newark census shows Patrick RUDDEN, 40, born Ireland, with wife Bridget, 38, also born in Ireland. Their eldest child Catharine, 14, was born in Ireland, then son George, 11, born in NY, followed by children Thomas, 8, and Patrick, 5, born in NJ. These dates of birth indicate their immigration to the US as 1837-1838. I have not been able to find them on passenger lists, etc., and have no information prior to that. The elder Patrick is my 2nd great grandfather, his son Thomas my great grandfather. Thomas' daughter, Augusta, my grandmother, married George DAVENPORT in 1891 in Newark. I have extensive information on that branch of the family from that time until the present but am looking for any related RUDDENs.
