Hi Nancy and All, I would also be interested in the identity of the Bethia that married Benjamin Lyon. Although the Lyon Memorial says her name was Condit, there is nothing further on her ancestry. The Condit genealogy doesn't have her at all. There is a good arguement on pp. 49 - 51 in the book "The History of the Lindley, Lindsley - Linsley Families in America, 1639 - 1930" by John M. Lindly (c. 1930) that Bethia is in fact a Lindley, a dau. of Frances Lindsley and Susanna Culpepper. She would have first married Ebenezer Canfield. Does anyone have additional sources to check for her identity?
