    3. Hello Essex County Researchers, I received in the mail today 21 more postcards of views of Newark. I will be adding them to my Virtual Newark site in the next week or so. <http://www.castle.net/~glenng/newark/history/photos.htm> One postcard caught my attention. It is of the Newark Orphan Asylum at 323 High Street. I recognized it immediately as the Administration Building for the New Jersey Institute of Technology. A building which I've been in many times (embarrassed look). So now we know what happened to that building. Some of you may already have known that but I didn't. Of course I could have found this out by cross checking the addresses I already have on my web site with current addresses but I'm always going forward with additions to the site and rarely looking back. Bearing that in mind, if anyone else has any input like this I would be happy to hear it. Also, if anyone would like to have their Newark Photos posted please send them to me as an email attachment. On another matter, lately some posts to the mailing list and to my personal mail box only have an on-line handle as the address. I would like everyone (mentioned in the Essex FAQ and intro message) who doesn't have their real names in their mail "headers" to sign their posts with their real names. We're all friends here. Also in the mail today was a book I ordered called "A Bibliography of Newark, New Jersey 1966 - 1986. It is an index of many books written about Newark. There are two books that deal with some recent postings: Newark Streets and Their Wards: 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880. Published by the N.J. Historical Society A Supplement to "Newark Streets and Their Wards" for 1895, 1905, and 1915. Published by the Newark Public Library. Please note that I don't have either of these books. Please keep in mind that I'm always open to suggestions. Thank You, Glenn G.
