Hi all, I am looking for the family of Abigail Allen b. c 1740 d.2/13/1822. She is listed a being "of Hanover" in the 1954 NYGBR article on Peter Smith descendants and married Uriah Smith on 3/28/1770 in Hanover, Morris Co., NJ according to the Hanover Presbyterian Church records. Uriah was b. 1734 and d. 5/6/1816 in either Hanover or Northfield/Livingston NJ. They named their children as follows: Uriah, Joseph, Peter, William, Isaac, Allen, Elizabeth (m. ___Lyon) and Mary (m. ___Wade). I am trying to find Abigail's ancestry as well as confirm the marriage of her daughter Mary to Nathaniel Wade (of Jonathan). I would be grateful for any assistance you may be able to provide, either directly or by pointing me in the direction of likely resources. I am hoping to get to MEHGS in the next few days and would love to be able to dig up some information on these families.
