Last October I wrote to the INS office in Washington, DC, requesting copies of the naturalization papers for my husband's paternal grandparents. After a few months I received a letter from the Newark INS Office telling me that they were unable to search for the papers, as the Newark facility was having asbestos removed from their location(s). They suggested that I try for the information I need somewhere else. Well, I have no place else to go for that information. Believe me, I've tried!!!!!! Here's what I need: ZUNK, Harry: b: 3/15/1885, Arudlo/Horodlo, Poland m: ? , Hrubieszow, Poland Arrived USA: 1/13/1913 at Port of NYC, with wife and infant son Naturalized: 2/10/1930, at Newark, NJ (cert. #3179128) ZUNK, Ida: b: 4/10/1889, Hrubieszow, Poland (nee: TROST) m: ? , Hrubieszow, Poland Arrived USA: 1/13/1930 at Port of NYC, with husband and infant son Naturalized: 3/9/1942, at Newark, NJ (cert. # unknown to me) Is there ANYONE out there who has access to the Newark INS files? Can anyone give me a helping hand with this. I don't know what to do, since INS doesn't seem to even want to answer any of my letters. Thank you in advance.
