Iris- Bev did a good job of listing all those Caldwell Corbys. I have Lynn G. Lockward's "A Puritan Heritage: The First Presbyterian Church in Horseneck- Caldwell N.J.-" You might be interested to know that Yehoncris' name is written Yehon Criss Corby in the 1826 list of the Church's "Notes for Wood" (those who owed cash to pay for the heating wood.) I don't believe Bev mentiond the Sept. 2,1813 marriage of Abijah Corby and and Sally Condit. Elaine- According to the church records in the above book, John Nafie and Metilda Corby were married Dec. 20, 1806. The only other Nafie is Dec 25, 1819- married Richard Naffee and Sally Sysco. This book appears to have the old church records incorporated in it. I do not see any of Iris' Corbys or any Nafies in the baptisms or Burying Ground records. My interest in Caldwell is my great great great grandmother, Hannah Crane, who married Samuel MOORE. He is the mystery man. Muriel S.
