Hello ECRs, This is just a reminder on Paid Researchers. ALL Paid Researchers that post to this list must agree to the NJESSEX Terms of Posting. Unfortunately, anyone can quickly subscribe and post to the list without agreeing to the terms. DON'T be fooled by these people. Your defense against these types of people is to check the Essex County Genealogy page for a listing of those paid researchers who have agreed to the terms. If the person is not there then they haven't agreed and I would strongly advise not using them. <http://www.rootsweb.com/~njessex/towns/county/paidresearch.htm> The above scenario happened this past weekend when "K. O'Brien" <kerryo@gvi.net> subscribed to every NJ county mailing list and posted his advertisement. He was contacted by me (as well as the other listowners) for this abuse and given an opportunity to agree to the terms. As of this date he has not agreed. If you have read the terms on the above page then you know how simple and easy they are. Why a person who wants you to hire them would not agree to these terms is beyond me.
