Dear List, I have received some wonderful replies from this list and from Yorksgen-l and have one more question. Who would I contact in Essex County to find historical evidence of Freemason's Lodges during the 1860's and 1870's? I have a picture of my GGGrandfather in his Freemasonry regalia and would be happy to send a copy via e-mail to anyone who might be able to decipher which lodge he belonged to. The problem is that the lodge could equally be in Yorkshire as he was a member of Heckmonwike Lodge as well.
