I hope to make a trip to NJ in a few months and would appreciate any advice you can provide on the following: I am interested in the BARNETT family, who lived in Newark around 1820, and in Rahway around 1840. I have little more to go on other than some likely first names. What are the relative merits of the Newark Public Library, Jersey City Public Library, and the Rutgers Special Collections for chasing what I am after? Are there other, better sources?
