As far as obits are concerned. The NJ State Archives in Trenton has alot of papers on microfilm you can contact them concerning which ones you need searched. The Paterson Public Library has the old Paterson Eve. News , stopped publishing in 1969, on microfilm and for a small fee they will search for the obit if you have the date of death.
