Hi All-- I located my great-great-grandfather in the 1900 census. I found he reported his parents born in France. When I ordered the marriage return from the State of New Jersey I got his father's name: Anthony WEHRLE, Sr. (he is Anthony WEHRLE, Jr.). My question is I need to find out the year of immigration for Anthony Wehrle, Sr. and I know that would be on a particular census? In 1891 (the year of the marriage return) Anthony WEHRLE, Jr. was living at 321 Market Street, Newark, NJ he was 37 years old and this was his second marriage. His father is listed as Anthony WEHRLE, Sr. no address. I am wondering if someone could look in a Newark City Directory to find out Anthony WEHRLE, Sr.'s address so that I can order the census. I also need to know what census year I should be concentrating on. Unfortunately, I can barely read Anthony WEHRLE, Sr.'s wife name--it "looks like" Catherine Miller or Millan.
