It appears these three names are woven into Essex County. I am the ggg granddaughter of Hannah Wade b Jan 22 1823 and Charles C. Crane (whom I believe to have been born in Essex County) b July 29 1819. She was daughter of David and Joanna ? Wade. She had siblings Edward Francis, David Wheeler, and Stephen Thompson. They lived for at least a time in Trempealeau County, WI where Charles was active in local politics and built some of the first roads. I have a beautiful charcoal drawing of my Hannah done in 1893 with the signature DL Meeker. One of the children of Hannah and Charles married Frank Warner Meeker.
