Last year I purchased a Book with the names of New Jersey Men Who Went West. I sent the following email to the NJ-L,and the NJMORRIS-L last night. But I think perhaps I should sent it to the other New Jersey Lists too. I hope that some of you will find ancestors that went to the Gold Rush. The name of the Book etc. is in the email I am forwarding to this List. I will try to post the surnames starting with "B" today. It has an article on New Jersey Emigration to California in 1849. Listing the New Jersey Men Taking Part in the Gold Rush 1849-1850. Giveing the Name,Town,Ship,Company, and Date left. I hope I am not taking on too much, but I will attempt to send this to our list in several postings. It is alphabetical.I feel it is a worth while undertaking,as I'm sure it will help give information to those looking for ancestors that went West to the Gold Rush. I only ask that you be patient with me ,as I am new to computers.
