Does anyone know anything about a school (Catholic, I think) called The House of Good Sheperd? A cousin of mine told me that our great-aunt was sent there for a year, back in the early 1900's. Could it have been a home for un-wed mother's? Does the place still exist, and if it does, are records accessible? If it is gone, does anyone know whether any records are still availabe? My cousin's father told her that his sister had been sent to Good Sheperd for a year because she had been "bad." He never said what she did, and now we are thinking that she was possibly pregnant and sent there to deliver her child. If that's the case, no one in the family ever knew she had a baby, but it is a possibility because the stories about her when she was younger is that she was a rebellious, independent, young lady.-----Don't know, just a guess, and wanted to see if anyone knew about The House of Good Sheperd.
