Does someone have access to obituaries in Newark newspapers for 1898 and 1908? John BRAUN, born in Germany emigrated to the US (probably to Newark) with wife and family abt. 1880. John died in Newark abt. 24/25 of August 1898 and was buried in Woodland Cemetery the 27th of August 1898. Survived by wife (widow) and two daughters: Bertha BRAUN and Fredericka BROSS. Fredericka BRAUN, (wife of John BRAUN above) was born 9 March 1847 in Germany. Emigrated to the US in 1880. Was a midwife in Newark. Died in Newark 29 April 1908 and buried in Woodland Cemetery, 2 May 1908. Survived by daughter, Bertha LECKIE and probably grandson, Fred LECKIE and two other grandsons who may not have been mentioned since they were in the Newark Orphan Asylum: Louis Edward BROSS and John BROSS. I do not know her maiden name. I am looking for parentage, place of birth, siblings of either and children who were survivors. There were more children than the two daughters mentioned above.
