Hello ECR's The Cemetery page on Virtual Newark has been updated to show three "new" cemeteries. The first is St. Mary's Cemetery. The existence of this cemetery was first questioned by Judy in No. Carolina. Judy and I exchanged email trying to pinpoint the cemetery. When we finally figured out where it would be Judy contacted Father Curley, who filled her in with the information. I then contacted Eric Brintzinghoffer and asked him to look in the LDS FHC files. Eric found the Microfilm numbers for the cemetery and they are now posted on the Cemetery page of VN. I would like to thank all involved for the discovery of this information. This will undoubtedly save people research time in the future. The second and third cemeteries are the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery (NOT the Old Burying Ground) and the Trinity Episcopal Church Cemetery. References to these cemeteries were found in the book, "A Short History of Newark" by Frank Urquhart. I've also posted this information. At this time the information is very small. If anyone knows more about these cemeteries please contact me. Also the LOOKUPS page on the Essex County Genealogy Web Site has now been updated and made easier to read. All previous posted information that directed you to a source book was moved to the page with the entry. (i.e., the actual page where the other church information is). Please look over this page and if you have any other reference books that you can do lookups in please contact me and I'll add you name and book to the list. Thank You, Glenn G.
