I'm still trying to find info on David Sachs who was 23 and a clerk in October 1904. David had daughter born "out of wedlock" in Newark NJ and info on him came from that birth certificate. Daughters name was Helen Sachs. Mother was Bessie Lovelace 17 housekeeper. Bessie also studied opera in NY so he may have been from across the river. David may have died before 1907 when Elizabeth Lovelace married Arthur Mitchel. Helen didn't know that the man she called dad wasnt her father until after she was grown. Arthur Mitchel and Elizabeth Lovelace married in Newark NJ 1907. He raced motorcycles and they lived in Chicago, Los Angeles and Houston before coming to Birmingham. Bessie died when Helen was eleven in Birmingham Alabama due to problems in childbirth. Any help on this family would be appreciated- Thanks Doris Mayer Reece
